Thanks for scrolling! Once again, I'm Marrio. I'm a fashion still-life photographer based in Southern California with over 15 years of Stills Studio experience. My body of work is known for clean composition, meticulous lighting and a quiet attention to dimensionality. My work focuses on high-fashion accessories as objects of luxurious desire —studied, arranged, and photographed to reveal exquisite texture, impossible form, and the luxe qualities of high fashion that entice buyers all around the world to click on your website and spend their money.
My methods blend analog sensibilities with digital precision: I build methodical studio practices around controlled lighting as my canvas, using both soft and hard directional lights, shaping shadows and adding selective highlights to bring out the character of each product. I work in a hybrid workflow—full-frame as my default and medium format when extra detail matters—then apply refined retouching that respects the integrity of fabrics and finishes. Every day I collaborate closely with stylists, brands, and buyers to translate three-dimensional pieces into compelling two-dimensional e-commerce images.
Aesthetic
I favor minimal, restrained compositions that let your product breathe—using negative space to highlight what matters.
Artistic approach
I usually work with neutral palettes and introduce unexpected color accents, or sometimes embrace lively, colorful chaos and bold texture contrasts. My work is a collection of images I find visually compelling—tactile, inviting viewers to imagine how they’d feel as much as how they’d look.
Clients & Collaborations
As the in-house studio photographer for Revolve, I am tasked with creating the images you see on rvlv.com and fwrd.com every day. That role has given me the chance to shoot a wide range of commercial and editorial projects for indie and corporate designers, regional boutiques, and lifestyle brands.
I specialize in e-commerce product photography, lookbook stills, campaign imagery, and commissioned studio work. I’m comfortable leading both small and large teams, working to tight production schedules, and managing daily reporting. My goal is to deliver images optimized for both digital and print.
Gear and approach
I shoot with medium-format digital and high-resolution full-frame systems, choosing the setup that best delivers the resolution and dynamic range a project requires. I often use macro and short-telephoto lenses to isolate subjects and capture fine detail. My workflow is built for consistency and color accuracy: I shoot RAW tethered, edit on calibrated monitors, and keep retouching nondestructive to preserve image integrity.
Availability and licensing
I’m available for studio and location shoots and welcome bookings for commercial campaigns, seasonal lookbooks, and creative collaborations. Licensing is custom — I tailor usage and licensing packages to each client’s needs.
